Our names are Alex Burch and Ryan Milana. Our paths first crossed at our local parish during a Marriage and Family meeting, an event we both needed some encouragement from our wives to attend. Little did we know, that first meeting would blossom into an incredible friendship, not just between the two of us, but between our families as well. As two Catholic dads trying to grow in faith while navigating the joys and challenges of life, we started The Catholic Dad Pod to have real, honest conversations about what it means to be Catholic men. We’re not experts or theologians. We are just two men figuring it out and inviting others to join us on the journey. Welcome!
Meet the Team

Co-host of The Catholic Dad PodI was born and raised in New Orleans but came to Auburn University for school and met a girl. Now, my wife Lucy and I live in Auburn with our three children. I am a nurse practitioner working in primary care. I joined Ryan in the creating of this podcast to have meaningful conversations and to encourage other men in their faith. The worship of Our Lord and instilling the Catholic faith in my family and home is my true vocation. In my free time, I love playing with my kids, working out, reading and writing, and a good craft beer.

I’m a devoted Catholic husband and father, as well as a teacher and coach in my local community. When I’m not behind the mic, you’ll find me on sidelines coaching, spending time with my beautiful wife Tess and our son Dean, or looking for ways to bring faith into everyday life. My goal with this podcast is to encourage Christian men to learn and to lead their families and communities in faith while deepening their relationship with and love for Christ.
